Is This How You Beg?’ Goenka Ties Trump’s Zelenskyy Jibe to 1995 Bollywood Hit

Harsh Goenka, the RPG Enterprises chairman, has spiced up the fallout from Friday’s fiery Trump-Zelenskyy showdown with a dash of Bollywood flair. Taking to X, Goenka paired the White House clash with a scene from the 1995 film Hum Dono, starring the late Rishi Kapoor and Nana Patekar, suggesting it perfectly mirrors Trump’s gripe that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy lacked gratitude.

“Trump vs Zelenskyy—well anticipated by Bollywood,” Goenka captioned his post, sharing the clip. In it, Kapoor (labeled “Trump”) tears into Patekar (cast as “Zelenskyy”). “Is this any way to beg?” Kapoor snaps. “I’m not your servant—or your father’s. You need the money, you need the signature—ask nicely. Say ‘please.’ Plead with me. Is this how you ask for help?” The scene peaks with Kapoor strong-arming Patekar into folding his hands and begging, “Please come with me.”

The internet lit up with reactions, delighting in Goenka’s sharp parallel to the real-life drama. What started as a diplomatic sit-down in the Oval Office spiraled into chaos fast. Trump laid down an ultimatum: “Make a deal, or we’re out.” He doubled down, telling Zelenskyy, “You’re in deep trouble—you’re not winning this.” Zelenskyy shot back, “We’re fighting on our own soil, and we’ve stood firm. We’ve even thanked you for your help.” Vice President JD Vance jumped in, quipping, “In this meeting?”

Tempers flared further as Trump accused Zelenskyy of “gambling with millions of lives” and “toying with World War III.” When Vance touted diplomacy, Zelenskyy challenged, “What kind of diplomacy?”—prompting Vance to call him “disrespectful” in the President’s own office.

Goenka’s Bollywood lens has turned a tense geopolitical spat into a viral talking point, blending 90s cinema with 2025 headlines.
