Brampton Man Arrested in Violent Carjacking Had Prior Robbery Convictions

A man accused of violently attacking a woman at a Brampton gas station before stealing her car was already under house arrest for previous robbery charges, Peel Regional Police have confirmed.

The incident took place on February 11, around 11:30 AM, when the victim was refueling her Mercedes-Benz C300 at a gas station near Wanless Drive and Tournament Drive.

According to police, two male suspects armed with knives approached the woman and demanded her car keys. When she refused, the suspects allegedly attempted to forcibly take the keys and began punching her.
