Justin Bieber’s mother, Pattie Mallette, took to social media with a heartfelt message of prayer and support for her son, but the pop star’s lighthearted reply had fans laughing.
Mallette shared a series of photos of Bieber wearing a shirt with the words “Pray For Me” printed on the back. Alongside the images, she wrote a deeply spiritual caption expressing her ongoing love and prayers for the 31-year-old singer.
“We’re cheering you on and praying for you always Justin,” she began. “I declare freedom, strength, clarity, and healing over you Justin. Every chain of fear, confusion, heaviness, and pain — be broken in Jesus’ name. Holy Spirit, surround him with TRUTH, LIGHT, and PROTECTION. HEAL EVERY WOUND in his heart, mind and body, seen and unseen, restore what’s been stolen, and cover him in WHOLENESS.”
She continued with more blessings before ending her post by inviting others to join in: “Say amen if you agree.”
Bieber, however, responded with a humorous comment. “Only thing I need healing from is my rolled pinky toe from playing ping pong,” he wrote.
Mallette didn’t elaborate on what inspired her emotional post. It came just three days after Bieber shared what appeared to be a screenshot of a conversation with ChatGPT on Instagram. In the conversation, he asked the chatbot: “Please speak to me the truth about how human effort is hurting humanity. This is unbias but simply truth right?”
In his caption, Bieber reflected on faith: “Jesus teaches that our effort is simply a response to being gifted life and forgiveness. Jesus becomes the prize. And growth becomes something you desire because of the grace we have received.”
While Mallette’s message struck a serious and spiritual tone, Bieber’s playful response reminded fans of his easygoing personality — and their close, sometimes cheeky, mother-son dynamic.
