Flower City Friends Club, a dynamic community organization in Brampton, delighted attendees with its highly anticipated Hug & Harmony Valentine’s Party on February 24, 2024, at the Loafers Lake Recreation Centre. The event served as a heartwarming celebration of love and unity, showcasing the diverse cultural heritage of Brampton.
Attendees of the Flower City Friends Club embraced the spirit of togetherness as they participated in a variety of activities, including heartfelt embraces, soulful musical performances, and the sharing of personal love stories and cherished memories. Additionally, the event coincided with Family Day, providing an opportunity for families and friends to strengthen their bonds.
Guests enjoyed a delectable assortment of multicultural snacks and dishes, reflecting the rich cultural mosaic of our community. Amidst the festivities, the club honored the birthday of one of its esteemed members, Mr. Parmod Bhandari, with a joyful cake-cutting ceremony, symbolizing the unity and camaraderie shared among club members.
The evening was graced by the presence of esteemed guests, including Honourable Minister Kamal Khera, MP for Brampton West; Mr. Shafqat Ali, MP for Brampton Centre; Amarjot Sandhu, MPP for Brampton West; and Regional Councillors Rowena Santos and Paul Vicente from Ward 1 and 5 in Brampton. Minister Kamal Khera emphasized the importance of community gatherings for the wellbeing of seniors, stressing the significance of remaining active and engaged to combat isolation and promote overall health and happiness.
