The City of Brampton’s Community Safety Advisory Committee (CSAC) kicked off its 2025 Community Safety Road Show on April 10 with a successful and well-attended public meeting at Century Gardens Recreation Centre. This initiative is designed to bring community safety conversations directly to residents across Brampton’s wards.
Chaired by Councillor Michael Palleschi (Wards 2 & 6) and Vice-Chaired by Councillor Dennis Keenan (Wards 3 & 4), the committee meeting marked the first of five stops planned for this year.

Committee members in attendance included Councillors Rowena Santos, Rod Power, Dominique Ds, and Ivan Macri, as well as community representatives Roop Sandhu, Nav Chhinzer, Randhir Singh, and Inga Pedra. Staff from the Community Safety and Well-Being Office also participated, sharing updates on ongoing safety programs and responding to resident concerns.
“It was inspiring to see so many residents come out to share their perspectives and ideas,” said Councillor Rowena Santos. “We know that public safety isn’t just about policing—it’s about investing in community engagement, youth programs, mental health supports, and safe spaces for everyone. This is why these road show meetings are so important.”
“We’re bringing these meetings directly into the heart of our neighbourhoods because that’s where real conversations happen,” said Councillor Michael Palleschi, Chair of the CSAC. “We want to listen, learn, and act—based on what our residents are telling us. Their lived experiences are crucial in shaping our city’s safety priorities.”

The next stop on the road show will take place on Wednesday, June 19 at 7:00 PM at the Save Max Sports Centre (Field Floor A), located at 1495 Sandalwood Parkway East. Brampton residents are encouraged to attend and participate in shaping the future of safety in their communities.
The Community Safety Advisory Committee plays an advisory role to City Council on matters related to public safety, crime prevention, and community well-being. The road show series is a key part of the city’s broader efforts to build safer, more resilient neighbourhoods.
