Will Ontario Have a White Christmas This Year?

The Old Farmer’s Almanac has released its much-anticipated Christmas forecast, offering a glimpse into whether Canadians will wake up to snow-covered landscapes on December 25.

While much of Canada is predicted to enjoy a white Christmas in 2024, those living in southern Ontario and southern Quebec may not be so lucky. According to the Almanac, these regions are unlikely to see snow on Christmas Day if current predictions hold true.

Snow Expected Across Much of Canada

The western Prairies, including parts of Saskatchewan, Alberta, and a portion of Manitoba, are expected to see snow-covered ground. Similarly, the Yukon and some regions of British Columbia are also forecasted to experience a traditional white Christmas.

The Atlantic provinces may have a chance for snow on December 25, adding to the festive holiday atmosphere in eastern Canada.

Ontario’s Winter Outlook

For southern Ontario residents, the forecast aligns with a less snowy trend. Meanwhile, other parts of the province could still see snowfall in the lead-up to the holidays.

Whether or not the snow graces your area, the holiday season promises to be full of festive cheer. Keep an eye on local weather updates as December 25 approaches!
