Peel Regional Police have arrested and charged two young persons in connection with a violent carjacking that took place in Brampton on Tuesday, February 25, 2025.
At approximately 2:35 a.m., the victim was parked in a retail store lot near Torbram Road and Countryside Drive when two masked suspects approached and demanded the keys to the vehicle. A brief struggle ensued before the suspects successfully stole the victim’s keys and fled the scene in the stolen car.
Later that morning, police located the stolen vehicle in the parking lot of a local high school in Brampton. Officers quickly took two young suspects into custody, prompting the school to be placed under a “Hold and Secure” order, which was later lifted after the arrests.
Both youths, who were already on judicial release for previous violent offences, have been charged with multiple crimes:

Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
Failure to Comply with Release Order
Second Suspect:
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
Disguise with Intent
Robbery
Failure to Comply with Sentence Order (x2)
Both suspects have been held for bail hearings at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton. Due to the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA), their identities cannot be released.
