Tow Truck Turf War Turns Violent: Three Caledon Men Charged in Brampton Shooting, Gunman Still at Large

Peel Regional Police say a violent tow truck rivalry led to a late-night shooting in Brampton in October, resulting in charges against three men from Caledon, while an alleged gunman remains wanted.

The incident occurred around 10:45 p.m. on Oct. 7 in a parking lot near McVean Drive and Castlemore Road, where an altercation between two groups escalated into gunfire. One person suffered minor injuries.

Police released video footage that appears to show a large scuffle moments before a man is seen firing a handgun. Following the investigation, officers identified three individuals connected to one of the groups involved and executed a search warrant at a Caledon residence on Nov. 20, leading to the arrests.

A 26-year-old Caledon man is facing six firearms-related charges. Two other Caledon men, aged 27 and 22, have each been charged with occupying a motor vehicle knowing a firearm was present.

Investigators are still working to identify members of the opposing group, particularly a man seen firing a gun in an image released by police. He was described as wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and white running shoes.
