Toronto is finally shaking off the lingering chill of May, with summer-like warmth arriving just in time to kick off June. According to Environment Canada, the city will bask in sunny skies and rising temperatures throughout the week, with humidex values making it feel even hotter.
Monday brings a high of 23°C under clear skies, setting the stage for an even warmer Tuesday, when temperatures are expected to hit 27°C. With humidity factored in, it could feel closer to 30°C — a noticeable change from the cooler, damp weather that dominated much of the past month.
Wednesday is also shaping up to be a warm one, matching Tuesday’s 27°C high, but with a chance of rain moving in. Showers are expected to stick around for both Thursday and Friday, bringing slightly cooler highs of 21°C and 22°C respectively.
But the good news doesn’t stop there. As the weekend approaches, the forecast calls for a return to sunshine and mild conditions. Saturday and Sunday are expected to bring a mix of sun and cloud, with pleasant highs of 23°C and 24°C.
After weeks of gray skies and cool temperatures, Torontonians can finally look forward to a stretch of weather that feels like summer has truly begun.
