Tim Hortons Brings Back Vintage Coffee Cups Ahead of National Coffee Day

Tim Hortons fans are getting a nostalgic treat this week as the coffee chain rolls out a collection of four vintage hot beverage cup designs in honour of National Coffee Day.

The limited-edition cups, featuring designs from the 1960s, 1980s, and two from the 2010s, are available at locations across Canada starting this week and will remain in circulation while supplies last.

“We’re proud that millions of Canadians have started their day with their favourite coffee, made with the same secret recipe since 1964,” said Hope Bagozzi, Tim Hortons’ chief marketing officer. “We’re so excited to showcase some iconic designs from the past with our National Coffee Day cup collection. It’ll be a trip down memory lane at Tims.”

Guests will receive one of the four designs at random, but the company expects some fans will try to collect all of them before National Coffee Day on Sept. 29.

The first Tim Hortons restaurant opened in Hamilton, Ontario, in 1964, and the brand’s return to its retro look has coffee lovers buzzing with excitement.
