A tragic head-on collision on Valentine’s Day has claimed the lives of three young Brampton residents, prompting an outpouring of community support for their grieving families.
Fatal Crash on Tottenham Road
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) reported that the crash occurred just before 6 a.m. on February 14 along Tottenham Road between 11th and 12th Line in New Tecumseth, about 40 kilometers southwest of Barrie.
Investigators say a passenger vehicle carrying three people and a pickup truck were traveling in opposite directions when they collided head-on.
Victims Identified:
- Rushabh Limbachiya, 25
- Didarjeet Singh, 25
- Dhara Patel, 23
All three victims were pronounced dead at the scene. The pickup truck driver survived with no major injuries, police confirmed.
In the wake of the tragedy, friends and family of the victims have launched GoFundMe campaigns to help cover funeral costs. As of Friday afternoon, donations had reached $76,143 across three separate fundraisers.
A video circulating on social media revealed that all three victims were in Brampton on work permits, adding another layer of heartbreak to their untimely deaths.
