The City of Brampton’s Economic Development Office proudly hosted The Gathering, a significant pre-event for the renowned Collision Conference. Held in the heart of Brampton’s vibrant Innovation District, the event saw industry leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs come together in a dynamic display of collaboration and energy.
Mayor Patrick Brown expressed his excitement, stating, “Our Innovation District buzzed with energy and collaboration as industry leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs came together for this remarkable event. It was terrific to have Paddy Cosgrave in our city for this special occasion. He is one of the world’s great minds when it comes to startups, technology, and innovation.”
The Gathering, a precursor to the Collision Conference, marks Brampton as the first North American city to host such an exclusive event. This distinction underscores Brampton’s growing reputation as a hub for innovation and entrepreneurship. The event featured approximately 200 startups, supported by partners including the Brampton Entrepreneur Centre, BHive Brampton, Altitude Accelerator, Founder Institute, Algoma University, Rogers Cybersecure Catalyst, and the Brampton Venture Zone .
The event was a monumental success, with attendees participating in networking sessions, engaging with industry thought leaders, and exploring Brampton’s strategic advantages within the Innovation Corridor.
