Team Canada Gears Up for 4 Nations Face-Off Tournament, Led by Sidney Crosby

The much-anticipated 2025 4 Nations Face-Off is set to begin on Wednesday, February 12, bringing NHL players back to international competition for the first time since the 2016 World Cup of Hockey. Hosted at Montreal’s Bell Centre and Boston’s TD Garden, the tournament features four powerhouse hockey nations—Canada, the United States, Sweden, and Finland—competing in a high-stakes, winner-takes-all showdown.

Captaining Team Canada is Sidney Crosby, with Connor McDavid and Cale Makar serving as alternate captains. Ontario is well-represented on the roster, with seven players from the province, including McDavid, Mitch Marner, Travis Konecny, Sam Bennett, Anthony Cirelli, Drew Doughty, and goaltender Jordan Binnington.

Canada will kick off its tournament run against Sweden on February 12 at 8 p.m. ET, a game that will see Toronto Maple Leafs teammates Mitch Marner (Canada) and William Nylander (Sweden) go head-to-head. The round-robin format ensures each team will play three games, with the top two nations advancing to the one-game championship final on February 20.

With top-tier talent, fierce national rivalries, and high expectations for Team Canada, the 4 Nations Face-Off promises to be an electrifying tournament for hockey fans across the country. Fans can tune in to Sportsnet, ESPN, ABC, and other major networks to catch all the action.
