Six New GO Trains to Speed Mississauga, Brampton Riders to Toronto

Commuters in Mississauga and Brampton are getting a boost: six new daily GO trains on the Kitchener Line will zip riders to and from Toronto’s Union Station starting April 7. Metrolinx, the transit powerhouse behind GO, dropped the news Thursday, promising smoother rides through Malton and Bramalea stations.

The fresh trains roll out on this schedule:

  • 7:04 a.m. from Malton GO, hitting all stops, landing at Union by 7:35 a.m.
  • 7:26 a.m. from Bramalea GO, all stops, arriving 8:05 a.m.
  • 10:34 a.m. from Malton GO, all stops, docking at 11:05 a.m.
  • 6:58 p.m. from Bramalea GO, reaching Union at 7:35 p.m.
  • 7:04 a.m. from Union, pulling into Bramalea at 7:42 a.m.
  • 6:04 p.m. from Union, hitting Bramalea by 6:42 p.m.

Kitchener Line riders also score three morning and one afternoon express trips, with the new trains piggybacking on that speedier vibe, Metrolinx says.

Meanwhile, Lakeshore West Line users—spanning Mississauga to Toronto—face tweaks starting early April:

  • Two late-night trains swap for GO buses Monday-Thursday due to Long Branch GO construction.
  • Some trips shift up to six minutes earlier or later.
  • Bike coaches hitch onto Niagara Falls-bound trains for spring and summer.

The changes ripple across the GTA, with Mississauga riders also tapping into seasonal perks:

  • Toronto Premium Outlets (Route 25K): Weekend runs from April 5 to Aug. 24, linking Kipling TTC subway, Square One, Dixie, Renforth, and Kipling GO.
  • Canada’s Wonderland (Routes 47 & 52): Weekend thrills from May 10 to Aug. 24.
  • Toronto Zoo (Route 96): Weekend treks from April 5 to Aug. 24.

Metrolinx is shaking up the GO network—more speed, more stops, more fun. Check schedules, because April’s bringing the ride.
