Today, Shafqat Ali, Member of Parliament for Brampton Centre, had the distinct honour of presenting the prestigious King Charles III Coronation Medal to Deputy Chief Mark Andrews, Deputy Chief Mark Dapat, and Deputy Chief Nick Milinovich of the Peel Regional Police. This recognition celebrates their outstanding commitment to public service, unwavering dedication, and tireless efforts in ensuring the safety and well-being of the Brampton community.
The King Charles III Coronation Medal, created to commemorate the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III on May 6, 2023, is awarded to individuals across Canada who have made significant contributions to their communities or achieved excellence that brings credit to the nation. As part of a national program, approximately 30,000 medals are being distributed during the coronation’s anniversary year to honour exemplary Canadians, including those in public safety roles.

“These deputy chiefs exemplify the spirit of service and leadership that strengthens our community,” said MP Shafqat Ali. “Their dedication to protecting and supporting the people of Brampton is truly commendable, and it is a privilege to recognize their efforts with this distinguished honour.”
