The office of Shafqat Ali, Member of Parliament for Brampton Centre, was filled with joy and celebration as the community gathered to mark Filipino Heritage Month. The event, which highlighted the rich culture, traditions, and contributions of the Filipino community in Brampton, featured a day full of smiles, laughter, and delicious Filipino cuisine.
Shafqat Ali MP expressed his delight at hosting such a vibrant and inclusive event. “It is an honor to celebrate Filipino Heritage Month with our wonderful community here in Brampton. The Filipino community has enriched our city with its culture, traditions, and hard work. Today, we celebrate their contributions and the vibrant diversity they bring to our society,” said MP Shafqat Ali.
Sonia Sidhu, Member of Parliament for Brampton South, also attended the event and shared her appreciation for the Filipino community. “The Filipino community plays an integral role in the fabric of Brampton. Celebrating Filipino Heritage Month is a wonderful opportunity to acknowledge and honor their significant contributions to our city and our country,” said MP Sonia Sidhu.
Rechie Valdez, Member of Parliament and a proud representative of the Filipino community, was also present to join in the celebrations. “Filipino Heritage Month is a time to celebrate our heritage, our culture, and the incredible contributions of Filipino Canadians. It is heartwarming to see such strong support and recognition from our fellow MPs and the entire Brampton community,” said MP Rechie Valdez.
