Severe Winter Storm Expected to Hit GTA and Southern Ontario This Weekend

The weather agency warned in a social media post that widespread snowfall is expected to begin Saturday night and persist through Sunday. Forecast models indicate the possibility of heavy snow and ice pellets sweeping from southwestern Ontario through the GTA and into Ottawa.

The Weather Network predicts up to 15 cm of snowfall, beginning Saturday afternoon and intensifying overnight, affecting major areas including Mississauga, Toronto, Brampton, Durham Region, and Halton Region.
