Regional Councillor Paul Vicente, representing Wards 1 & 5 in Brampton, made a special visit to Lakeland Village Park on Aug 13, 2024 to engage directly with residents and address their concerns. The visit was part of Councillor Vicente’s ongoing efforts to ensure the voices of the community are heard and their needs are met.
During the gathering, which saw over 50 residents in attendance, Councillor Vicente listened attentively to the issues raised by the people of the adjoining areas. Residents shared concerns ranging from park maintenance to the need for more amenities to enhance the community’s quality of life.

In response to these concerns, Councillor Vicente took immediate action by instructing city staff on the spot to install benches and a washroom at Neville-Lake Park in Brampton. This decision was met with widespread approval from the residents, who have long awaited these improvements.
“Ensuring that our parks are equipped with the necessary amenities is crucial for the well-being of our community. These spaces are where families gather, children play, and residents find solace in nature. I am committed to making our parks more accessible and comfortable for everyone,” said Councillor Vicente. “Today’s visit has reaffirmed the importance of listening to our residents and acting on their concerns promptly.”
