RCMP Seize $1M in Assets, 56 kg of Drugs in Major B.C. Trafficking Bust”

A six-month investigation into what police describe as a “large and sophisticated” drug-trafficking operation in British Columbia has led to four arrests and the seizure of more than $1 million in assets.

RCMP allege the network supplied significant volumes of illicit drugs across the province, stretching from the Lower Mainland to the Okanagan. The investigation, which began in February, culminated last month when officers executed a search warrant at a home in Surrey’s Guilford neighbourhood.

Inside, police discovered 56 kilograms of suspected illicit substances and cutting agents, including 24 kilograms of methamphetamine, nine kilograms of fentanyl, as well as crack cocaine and benzodiazepines.

Officers also seized assets valued at over $1 million, including two pickup trucks, two SUVs, a motorhome, and $54,000 in cash, all believed to be tied to the alleged trafficking operation.

Four individuals were taken into custody, and investigators are preparing a report for the Public Prosecution Service of Canada to consider charges.

Supt. Ryan Element of the Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit called the operation “a significant disruption to the region’s drug trade,” underscoring the scale and reach of the trafficking network.
