A public meeting will be held Jan. 19 to review a proposal for a 34-storey residential tower and a three-storey office building at 0 Ebenezer Rd., near the intersection of Queen Street East and McVean Drive in Brampton.
The City of Brampton is reviewing an application from Candevcon Group Inc., on behalf of Massi Place Inc., to amend the city’s official plan and zoning bylaw to allow the development on the 0.97-hectare site.
City planners say the proposed tower would include 444 residential units, with retail and commercial space at ground level. The unit mix would range from studios to three-bedroom apartments. The project includes approximately 39,580 square metres of residential space and 4,486 square metres of retail and commercial uses.
Key issues under review include building height and transition to nearby low-density neighbourhoods, increased traffic on Ebenezer Road and Queen Street East, site access, and servicing requirements such as water, sewer and stormwater management.
The statutory public meeting will take place at 7 p.m. during the city’s planning and development committee meeting. Several other development proposals, including a multi-building highrise project at 2 County Court Blvd., are also scheduled for discussion.
