Prince Harry brought humour and charm to Toronto on Thursday as he laughed off his recent appearance wearing a Los Angeles Dodgers cap at the World Series. The Duke of Sussex, who attended the game in Los Angeles with his wife Meghan Markle, joked that he was “under duress” when he sported the Dodgers’ blue cap during Game 4 against the Toronto Blue Jays.
While visiting the veterans centre at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto, staff presented him with a Toronto Blue Jays hat to make amends. Accepting it with a smile, Harry quipped that he hadn’t really had a choice about the Dodgers cap — a lighthearted comment that drew laughs from the veterans and staff in attendance.
As part of his visit, the duke also received a hand-painted army helmet created by veterans and a book filled with stories from centenarian servicemen and women. The visit was part of his two-day tour in Canada leading up to Remembrance Day, highlighting his ongoing commitment to honouring military service and veteran welfare.
Prince Harry’s last Canadian trip was in February, when he attended the Invictus Games in British Columbia — an event he founded to celebrate the strength and resilience of wounded, injured, and ill service members.
