BRAMPTON – Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) is investigating after a Peel Regional Police officer shot a 35-year-old man during a family dispute call in Brampton on Wednesday.
The shooting occurred at an apartment on Malta Avenue around 9:50 a.m. Following an “interaction” with officers, the man was shot and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police reported no officers were injured.
The SIU has deployed a team of investigators to the scene and is appealing to the public for any information or media related to the incident.
