A decade after the disappearance of Meagan Pilon, police are renewing their search efforts and offering a $50,000 reward for information that could help solve the case.
Pilon was 15 years old when she vanished from her home in Greater Sudbury on September 12, 2013. She was reported missing four days later, and investigators believe she left her residence in the early morning hours of September 13.
Described as 5’10” tall, with a slim build, brown hair, and hazel eyes, Pilon also has a circular scar on her right cheek and a bunny tattoo on her left shoulder blade—distinctive features that could help in identifying her.
Despite extensive search efforts by the Greater Sudbury Police Service (GSPS) and the Ontario Provincial Police’s (OPP) Criminal Investigation Branch, Pilon has not been found. Authorities now suspect foul play in her disappearance.
In an effort to break the case, the Ontario government is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for Pilon’s disappearance or death.
Police are urging anyone with information to come forward. Tips can be reported to the OPP, GSPS, or Crime Stoppers for those who wish to remain anonymous.
As the search for answers continues, authorities hope that this renewed appeal—and the significant reward—will bring long-awaited justice for Pilon and her family.
