Peel Regional Police have released a composite sketch of a suspect wanted in connection with an attempted kidnapping that took place in Brampton on November 22, 2024.
The incident occurred in the Williams Parkway and Murray Street area in the afternoon when a male suspect approached a woman and attempted to engage her in conversation. When the woman refused to go with him after repeated requests, police say the suspect grabbed her, leading to a struggle. The suspect allegedly threatened the victim with a firearm, but she was able to call 911, causing him to flee the scene in a black Hyundai Elantra.
The suspect is described as a South Asian male with a Punjabi accent, between 25 to 28 years old, approximately 5’10”, with a dark complexion, slim build, short black curly hair, a short goatee, and brown eyes.
Authorities are urging anyone with information that could help identify the suspect to contact Peel Regional Police at 905-453-2121 ext. 2233. Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or through www.peelcrimestoppers.ca.
Peel Police continue to investigate and are asking the public to remain vigilant.
