A driving school operating in Brampton and Guelph has had its licence permanently revoked by the Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO).
Peel Driving School, which operates a location on North Park Drive in Brampton, was shut down after the MTO withdrew its operating licence. The ministry has provided limited details on the decision, describing it only as permanent.
In a statement, the provincial government said it has “zero tolerance for bad actors on our roads” and continues to monitor driving schools that provide training and certification across Ontario.
Peel Driving School’s website advertises professional driving lessons across the GTA, offering courses for students of all ages and experience levels with a focus on safe and responsible driving.
The business also operates Peel Truck Driving School, though the MTO has not confirmed whether that operation is affected by the licence revocation.
A staff member who answered the phone at the school said the company is awaiting further clarification from the MTO before determining next steps.
