Modi’s trip, which took place just weeks ahead of the U.S. presidential election, primarily focused on strengthening international alliances through the Quad Summit held in Wilmington, Delaware. During the summit, Modi, along with the leaders of the U.S., Japan, and Australia, issued a joint statement emphasizing the importance of maritime security in the Indo-Pacific region.
