Toronto’s airport-to-downtown express train just became even more convenient with the addition of a brand-new stop at Mount Dennis — a move expected to bring more riders and smoother travel across the region.
The Union Pearson (UP) Express, which links Toronto Pearson Airport in Mississauga with downtown Toronto, began stopping at the newly opened Mount Dennis GO station on Sunday. The station sits on Eglinton Avenue West between Weston Road and Black Creek Drive, becoming the third stop on the route alongside Bloor and Weston.
Pearson officials said travellers can now reach the airport from Mount Dennis in just 16 minutes, marking a significant travel-time improvement for commuters in west Toronto. The station also provides seamless connections to the GO Transit Kitchener Line and TTC bus routes through its adjoining new TTC bus terminal, making it a convenient mobility hub for the area.
Metrolinx noted that the modern station includes four entrances — two on either side of the GO corridor plus north- and south-facing access points at the former Kodak Building 9. The facility features bicycle parking, a passenger pick-up/drop-off zone, full elevator access at every entrance, and two elevators connecting the GO and UP platforms for easy transfers.
The UP Express continues to offer trains every 15 minutes daily until 1:00 a.m., with trips between Pearson Airport and Union Station typically taking around 25 minutes. Since its launch in 2015, the service has carried more than 26 million passengers and has become an essential part of Toronto’s transit network.
The new Mount Dennis stop further strengthens that role, improving connectivity for residents, workers, and visitors while expanding easy access between Canada’s busiest airport and the downtown core.
