New Brampton-Based Food Delivery Service ‘Speedyfeast’ Launches with 20% Discount

Locally-Owned Platform Aims to Compete with Big-Name Apps, Lower Fees for Customers

Brampton has a new homegrown food delivery service looking to shake up the industry with lower fees, a local-first approach, and a 20% discount on first-time orders. Speedyfeast, an online ordering platform launched last month, was founded by Brampton resident and tech developer Anubhav Maulik, who brings his experience from Toronto and Silicon Valley startups to his latest venture.

After working as a coder for major tech firms, Maulik wanted to create a Canadian alternative to major players like Uber Eats and DoorDash, which are primarily foreign-owned.

“It doesn’t make any sense that any of our competitors aren’t Canadian,” Maulik said. “Even Skip (formerly SkipTheDishes), which promotes itself as Canadian, is owned by a Dutch-based company. We hope to change that – we are fully Canadian-owned, and we want to support local businesses.”

With a few dozen local restaurants already on board, including pizza joints, fast-casual eateries, and Indian cuisine, Speedyfeast is rapidly growing and aims to reach 100 restaurants by the end of the month. The company is also planning expansions into Mississauga and Toronto.

To attract new customers, Speedyfeast is offering a 20.25% discount on the first three orders for those who sign up using the promo code Insauga2025.

One of Speedyfeast’s key selling points is its lower delivery fees compared to competitors. While most apps charge $7 to $10 in fees for a standard delivery, Speedyfeast customers pay less than $5 thanks to the company’s simplified “Real Fee” model.

“We have lower fees and charge a simpler fee model, so you can directly see what the add-on to your subtotal would be,” Maulik explained.

Additionally, a portion of each order’s sales is donated to a local hunger-related charity in Brampton, reinforcing the company’s commitment to giving back to the community.

As the platform grows, Speedyfeast is actively recruiting new drivers and restaurants to expand its services and enhance customer experience.

“The fun part about this is it just keeps getting better,” Maulik said. “We hope to keep performing well, improving our product, and making customers happy.”
