The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) has made a significant impact across the country, with 2.4 million Canadians now enrolled, including 3,438 residents from Brampton Centre. The CDCP aims to provide affordable dental care to Canadians who currently do not have access to insurance, focusing on seniors, adults with a Disability Tax Credit certificate, and children under 18.
The program is set to expand further, with 650,000 Canadians already receiving dental services like cleanings, fillings, and dentures. As part of a broader initiative to make dental care more accessible, a national campaign is currently underway to encourage even more eligible Canadians to enroll. The plan is expected to eventually cover up to nine million Canadians once fully implemented by 2025.
Brampton Centre MP Shafqat Ali has highlighted the importance of this initiative in his community, celebrating the positive impact it has had in providing essential healthcare services and making dental care more affordable and accessible to all.
