MP Ruby Sahota Hosts Successful Fundraising Dinner at Chandni Banquet Hall

On Friday, February 28, 2025, Ruby Sahota, Member of Parliament for the newly established riding of Brampton Caledon North (previously Brampton North), hosted a highly successful fundraising dinner at the Chandni Banquet Hall in Brampton. The event attracted over 250 supporters representing a broad spectrum of communities, including Punjabi, Muslim, West Indian, Gujarati, South Indian, and mainstream Canadian attendees, reflecting the riding’s vibrant diversity and collective strength. Among the notable guests were Sonia Sidhu, MP for Brampton South, Hardam Mangat, National Director of the Liberal Party of Canada, Balwinder Brains, a dedicated Liberal supporter, and Amandeep Sodhi, Liberal candidate for Brampton Centre.

The evening commenced with opening remarks from Khalid Alvi, Riding Chair for Brampton North–Caledon, who set an inspiring tone. “Tonight, we celebrate not just a leader, but a unifying force in Ruby Sahota,” Alvi stated. “Her commitment to our diverse communities and her vision for Brampton Caledon North exemplify the values we hold dear. This event is a powerful demonstration of our collective resolve to support her leadership.”

The event featured a rich program of entertainment, including traditional songs that paid tribute to Brampton’s multicultural heritage, fostering an atmosphere of inclusivity and festivity. MP Sahota delivered a warm welcome, expressing profound gratitude to the diverse coalition of supporters in attendance.
