Mississauga, October 5, 2025 — The Mountainash Seniors Club members came together for a delightful picnic at Jack Darling Park, located on Lakeshore Boulevard in Mississauga. The outing, filled with sunshine, laughter, and community bonding, offered seniors a refreshing day outdoors surrounded by nature.
The group departed from Brampton in the morning by bus, enjoying scenic views along the route before arriving at the park in just under an hour. Upon arrival, members were treated to a delicious breakfast, setting the tone for a day full of enjoyment and fellowship.
Club President Charanjit Dhillon warmly welcomed everyone, expressing her joy at seeing such enthusiastic participation.
“It’s heartwarming to see our members come together to enjoy nature, share stories, and create memories,” said Dhillon. “These outings are more than just picnics — they strengthen our bond as a community and bring smiles to everyone’s faces.”
After breakfast, members explored the park’s walking trails, splashed along the waterfront, and participated in Gidha dancing, personal storytelling, and networking. The lively atmosphere was filled with music, conversation, and the spirit of togetherness.
Executive Director Sukhdarshan Kular joined the members in the networking discussions, encouraging seniors to stay socially connected.
“Staying engaged and connected is key to healthy aging,” shared Kular. “Events like these give our members the chance to interact, share experiences, and feel supported.”
Throughout the day, group photographs and individual pictures captured the joyful moments — from scenic walks to impromptu dance circles.

As the picnic came to an end, Mrs. Charanjit Dhillon personally thanked every member for attending, displaying her trademark caring nature. She expressed her hope to see everyone again at the next club gathering, leaving members with smiles and fond memories of the day.
