Mitch Marner Joins Star-Studded Line-Up for Hockey Night in Brampton Charity Game

The anticipation is building for this year’s Hockey Night in Brampton charity game, with Toronto Maple Leafs’ alternate captain Mitch Marner among the latest big names to join the roster. The third-annual event, set for August 22, will feature a star-studded line-up of former and current NHL players, along with Olympic Gold Medalists, all coming together for a good cause.

Marner will be joined by four members of the newly relocated Brampton Steelheads, including goaltenders Jack Ivankovic and Ryerson Leenders, forward Porter Martone, and defenseman Stevie Leskovar.

Maple Leafs legends Wendel Clark and Doug Gilmour will return to coach the all-star teams in the charity match, which supports the William Osler Health System’s cardiac care initiatives and upgrades to the Peel Memorial Centre.

Other hockey greats participating include NHL defenseman and Canadian Gold Medalist Chris Pronger, two-time Olympic Gold Medalist Tessa Bonhomme, and Hockey Hall of Famer Chris Chelios. Fans can also look forward to appearances by former Leafs Captain Daryl Sittler, and NHL players Dylan Strome, Erik Gudbranson, Cole Perfetti, Liam Foudy, Jack McBain, and Travis Barron.

Launched by Mayor Patrick Brown in 2019, Hockey Night in Brampton has raised over $1.4 million for the Osler Foundation, with last year’s event alone generating a record-breaking $1 million. This year, the city hopes to surpass that milestone and raise even more for the cause.

Hockey Night in Brampton will take place at the CAA Centre on August 22. For more information, tickets, or sponsorship opportunities, visit www.hockeynightbrampton.ca.
