A Mississauga jewelry store has fallen victim to a smash-and-grab robbery for the second time in less than a year.
The Charm Diamond Centres in Erin Mills Town Centre was targeted on Sunday afternoon in a brazen daytime heist. Peel Regional Police report that several masked individuals entered the store, located near Erin Mills Parkway and Eglinton Avenue, around 3 p.m.
A video circulating on social media captures the dramatic scene as suspects smash display cases with hammers before fleeing with stolen merchandise. The video shows three individuals, dressed in black hoodies, running from the store carrying bags filled with stolen goods.
Police confirmed the suspects had fled the scene before officers arrived, and no descriptions have been provided at this time.
This is not the first time Charm Diamond Centres has been hit. The same store was robbed on May 9, 2024, using a similar smash-and-grab method.
Fortunately, no physical injuries were reported during the robbery.
Peel Regional Police continue to investigate and are appealing to the public for information. Anyone with details about the incident is encouraged to contact investigators at 905-453-2121 ext. 3410.
