Mississauga Drug Trafficking Crackdown Leads to Seven Arrests and Major Seizures

Peel Regional Police have arrested seven individuals in a major crackdown on drug trafficking and public disorder in Mississauga’s Cooksville neighborhood. The arrests come as part of Project Due Diligence, a targeted enforcement initiative launched in response to persistent community concerns about rising crime near Hurontario Street and Dundas Street.

Authorities say the operation, which began in late November, aimed to address escalating violence and illicit drug activity that had been negatively impacting local residents and businesses. Superintendent Harry Dhillon of Peel’s 12 Division emphasized that beyond enforcement, the initiative focused on fostering stronger relationships with the community to enhance long-term public safety.

During the operation, police executed multiple search warrants, leading to the seizure of large quantities of illegal cannabis, suspected cocaine, and more than $50,000 in cash.

The following individuals have been arrested and charged in connection with the investigation:

  • Kingsley Kelly (56) – Mississauga
  • Kyle Williams (22) – Mississauga
  • John-Ross Harris (38) – Mississauga
  • Amir Abuhmaid (25) – Mississauga
  • Craig Dhu (31) – Mississauga
  • Glenroy Neubie (35) – Brampton
  • Ralph Nembhard (32) – Brampton

All seven are facing multiple drug-related charges. As part of their court-ordered conditions, the accused are banned from returning to the Hurontario-Dundas area.

Peel Regional Police continue to investigate and urge anyone with additional information to contact the 12 Division Community Incident Response Team at 905-453-2121, ext. 1200, or report anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
