This GivingTuesday, Brampton’s Helping Orphaned Pets in Emergencies (HOPE) Fund invites residents to make a meaningful impact on the lives of vulnerable animals. Donations to the HOPE Fund provide essential medical care for animals in need and support families and their pets. Contributions—whether monetary, time, food, or supplies—create a ripple effect of compassion within the community. By contributing to the HOPE Fund, you offer hope and save lives.
Established in 2001, the HOPE Fund is dedicated to raising money for sick and injured animals, enabling their rehabilitation and adoption into loving ‘forever homes.’ Every dollar donated directly funds medical procedures for animals in care, with no portion allocated to administrative or operational expenses. This support ensures that animals receive the necessary treatment to recover and find permanent homes.
In 2024, the HOPE Fund facilitated critical medical care—including life-saving surgeries, medication, and rehabilitation—for 38 cats and dogs.
Support through the HOPE Fund extends beyond the holiday season, continually connecting animals to essential medical care. Residents are encouraged to contribute during this season of giving to sustain this positive impact on animals and their caregivers.
Ways to Make a Difference:
- Volunteer: Engage in activities such as dog walking, cat socialization, transporting animals to rehabilitation centers, or assisting in fundraising events.
- Foster: Provide temporary homes for animals in need.
- Donate: Contribute to the food pantry or the HOPE Fund.
