Kingston Ticket Holder Wins $75 Million Lotto Max Jackpot

A single ticket sold in Kingston, Ontario, has won the $75 million Lotto Max jackpot from Tuesday night’s draw, according to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG). The winning ticket matched all seven numbers, making it the largest lottery prize claimed in Canada since May 9, when an $80 million jackpot was won by a player in British Columbia.

In addition to the grand prize, two tickets matched six of seven numbers plus the bonus to win $153,055.30 each. One of those tickets was purchased in Toronto, while the other was sold in Quebec.

The draw also featured 12 Maxmillions prizes worth $1 million each. Two were claimed—one in Chatham-Kent, Ontario, and the other in Alberta.

The OLG says the winning numbers for the Tuesday, August 19 Lotto Max draw are now available on its official website.
