Two Brampton men are facing serious charges after Peel Regional Police recovered a handgun, ammunition, and heroin during an investigation into a shooting that occurred earlier this year.
The incident took place on April 24 at a residence near Raindrop Terrace and Mississauga Road in Brampton. Following weeks of investigation, police executed a search warrant on June 4 at a home near Swanton Road and Victoriaville Road.
During the search, officers reportedly discovered a 9mm Glock handgun, a loaded 17-round magazine containing 16 rounds, and a quantity of black tar heroin.
As a result, 23-year-old Maninder Singh has been charged with several firearms-related offences, including discharging a firearm in a reckless manner and possession of a prohibited device or ammunition while unauthorized. Tirath Singh, 24, has also been charged with reckless discharge of a firearm.
Both men were held for a bail hearing in Brampton.
