Golden Globe Awards 2025: Presenters Announced, Viola Davis to Be Honored
The 82nd Annual Golden Globe Awards are just days away, and excitement is building as the organisers unveil this year’s lineup of star-studded presenters. Hollywood icons Andrew Garfield, Anya Taylor-Joy, Dwayne Johnson, and Gal Gadot are among the big names set to take the stage.
According to Deadline, the list of presenters also includes Anthony Mackie, Aubrey Plaza, Michelle Yeoh, Nicolas Cage, Salma Hayek Pinault, Viola Davis, and many more. The ceremony promises a mix of Hollywood’s elite from both the film and television worlds.
The awards night will be held on January 5 (US time), with comedian Nikki Glaser making history as the first woman to host the Golden Globes solo. Known for her sharp wit, Glaser is expected to bring a fresh energy to the iconic event.
Netflix leads the 2025 nominations, dominating in both TV and film categories, followed closely by A24 and HBO. Viola Davis, celebrated for her groundbreaking roles, will receive the prestigious Cecil B. DeMille Award. Davis, an Oscar and Golden Globe winner for Fences, has been a trailblazer in the industry, earning six additional Golden Globe nominations, most recently for The Woman King in 2022.
India’s presence at the Golden Globes is also making headlines, with filmmaker Payal Kapadia’s All We Imagine As Light receiving two nominations. This marks another milestone for Indian cinema on the global stage.
The ceremony will stream live in India on Lionsgate Play at 6:30 AM IST on Monday, January 6, allowing fans worldwide to join the celebration of excellence in film and television.
