Brampton, Ontario – April 26, 2026: Allan Kerbel Park became a shining example of community pride and teamwork as residents, volunteers, and local leaders came together for a successful park cleanup initiative led by P.A.L. (People Against Littering).
A heartfelt thank you goes to Councillor Rowena Santos and her outstanding team for partnering with P.A.L. to make the event such a meaningful success. Special appreciation was also extended to Sandy Brosbell for being, as always, an indispensable part of the effort.
The cleanup was about much more than removing litter. It was a celebration of civic pride, kindness, and connection. Families, friends, neighbours, and even first-time participants joined hands on a beautiful day outdoors, proving once again that caring for shared green spaces can be both productive and enjoyable.

Volunteers described the atmosphere as inspiring, filled with teamwork, energy, and a shared sense of purpose. In just a couple of hours, participants transformed the park while also sending a powerful message: when people unite for a common cause, they can create real and lasting change.
Organizers emphasized that the mission of P.A.L. goes beyond cleanups. It is about bringing citizens together, inspiring leadership, and building a Brampton that is cleaner, safer, kinder, and more beautiful for everyone.

Bill Godfrey, President of P.A.L., said, “This is what a few dedicated people can accomplish in just a couple of hours. Imagine what we could achieve as a united city. We are not just picking up litter — we are building a stronger, kinder, and more connected community. Together, we can inspire pride in our neighbourhoods and make Brampton a model city for others to follow.”
Councillor Rowena Santos added, “Community cleanups like this show the true spirit of Brampton. When residents come together with pride and purpose, we create cleaner parks, stronger neighbourhoods, and lasting friendships. I am proud to support initiatives that inspire civic pride and make our city an even better place for families to live, grow, and thrive.”
Residents across Brampton are encouraged to join the growing movement and be part of the effort to make the city litter-free and full of pride.
Together, Bramptonians can become a force for positive change.
