Melanoma Canada is rolling out its Mole Mobile skin cancer screening unit in Burlington, Brampton, and Oakville from June 6 to 8, offering free, drop-in dermatology screenings to the public — no appointment necessary.
The initiative aims to improve access to early skin cancer detection, especially in communities with long wait times for dermatologists or limited access to specialized care. Certified Canadian dermatologists will be on-site to examine suspicious moles or skin spots and provide guidance for follow-up if needed.
“Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in Canada, yet access to dermatologists remains a major challenge,” Melanoma Canada said in a release.
The Mole Mobile program, which now includes two mobile units, is expanding its reach in 2025 to bring screening services directly to underserved regions across the country.
