Four International Students Charged in Oakville Vehicle Break-Ins

Halton police have charged four men on student visas in connection with a series of vehicle break-ins in Oakville.

The investigation began on the morning of November 24, when officers were alerted to numerous car break-ins in the Rosehill Drive and Shady Glen Road area.

  • Police allege up to 25 vehicles were targeted, with windows smashed to steal items including cash, debit cards, and credit cards.
  • Stolen debit and credit cards were reportedly used at various locations across the GTA.
  • On December 1, police responded to a vehicle break-in on Meadow Marsh Crescent. A white Honda Civic sedan, similar to the vehicle linked to the November incidents, was observed leaving the scene and subsequently stopped by officers.

Four men, all Brampton residents, were arrested and charged:

  • Gurparkar Singh, 19
  • Akshdeep Singh, 20
  • Kanavpreet Singh, 20
  • Dilpreet Singh, 21

  • All four face charges of mischief under $5,000.
  • Three of the suspects also face additional charges of mischief, theft, and fraud-related offences tied to the November 24 incidents.

The accused are being held in custody pending a bail hearing.

The charges have not yet been proven in court. Police are asking anyone with information about this case to contact the 2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau.
