Four Charged After Allegedly Forcing Entry Into Toronto MP’s Office During Protest

Four Toronto men are facing multiple charges after allegedly forcing their way into a Member of Parliament’s constituency office during a protest earlier this year, police say.

The incident occurred on the evening of April 24 near Keele Street and Lawrence Avenue West in northwest Toronto. According to police, a demonstration outside the MP’s office escalated when a group entered the building without permission, causing staff to fear for their safety.

Authorities have not confirmed which MP’s office was targeted, but the location falls within the federal riding of York South–Weston–Etobicoke.

A 26-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday and charged with forcible entry, mischief interfering with property, unlawful assembly, and unlawful assembly while masked. Three additional men, aged 21 to 41, were arrested last Friday and face the same charges.

The investigation remains ongoing. Police have not indicated whether further arrests are expected.
