Brampton, ON | February 15, 2026 — The Flower City Friends Club (FCFC) hosted a vibrant and heart-warming Valentine’s Day Celebration on February 15 at the Paul Palleschi Recreation Centre in Brampton, bringing together over 100 senior members for an evening filled with joy, music, and meaningful connections.
The hall was beautifully alive with Valentine spirit as seniors arrived dressed in colourful Valentine-themed attire, symbolising love, affection, and appreciation for family and friendships. The celebration reflected the true essence of the day — spreading warmth, kindness, and togetherness within the community.

The event began with heartfelt opening remarks by Gian Paul, Chairperson of Flower City Friends Club, who welcomed members and highlighted the importance of celebrating love at every stage of life.
“Valentine’s Day is not only about romance — it is about expressing love, gratitude, and care for our families, friends, and community. At Flower City Friends Club, we strive to ensure that our seniors remain socially connected, emotionally supported, and always surrounded by companionship and joy,” said Gian Paul.

He emphasised FCFC’s ongoing efforts to promote healthy aging through cultural celebrations, wellness activities, and community bonding.
The program featured a variety of outstanding performances by club members, including solo love songs, energetic dances, couples’ performances, entertaining skits, and group presentations that brought smiles and applause throughout the hall.
The evening was filled with laughter and heartfelt moments, as seniors showcased their talent and celebrated the spirit of love in their own unique way.

The celebration was honoured by the presence of Rowena Santos, Regional Councillor for the City of Brampton, who attended as the chief guest and warmly interacted with members. Councillor Santos even participated in the group dance, adding excitement and encouragement to the festive atmosphere.
“It is truly inspiring to see seniors celebrating life with such energy and happiness. Flower City Friends Club is doing remarkable work in creating a welcoming space where seniors feel valued, connected, and joyful,” said Councillor Rowena Santos.
She praised FCFC’s dedication to strengthening community bonds and supporting seniors’ well-being.
The event was organized and managed with great professionalism and warmth by Kamal Babra and Anuja Kabuli, whose efforts ensured a smooth, engaging, and memorable celebration for all participants.
A special highlight of the evening was a refreshing yoga session conducted by Anuja Kabuli, set beautifully to Bollywood love-themed music, making the program both relaxing and unique.
Jaswinder Daind, President of Flower City Friends Club, expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the event.
“Our club is like a family. Events like these bring our seniors closer, reduce isolation, and create lasting memories. I sincerely thank all members, volunteers, and organizers for making this celebration so special,” said Daind.
