First Round of FIFA World Cup 2026 Tickets Opens Wednesday for Visa Card Holders

the first round of tickets for the 2026 FIFA World Cup will be available this week, beginning with an exclusive Visa presale.

FIFA announced that the initial ticket draw will open on Wednesday, September 10 at 11:00 a.m. ET and close on Friday, September 19. The draw is open to Visa card holders only. Following the random selection process, FIFA will notify applicants of the results beginning September 29.

Successful applicants will be assigned a date and time to complete their purchase, with ticket sales beginning October 1. Fans who miss this round will still have multiple opportunities later this fall as FIFA rolls out additional phases due to the expected high demand.

Toronto is set to play a central role in the tournament, hosting six matches at BMO Field, with the first scheduled for June 12, 2026. Alongside tickets, FIFA hospitality packages — which include premium entertainment, exclusive seating, and access to lounges — are already on sale. Prices start at $2,500 CAD, with Venue Series packages beginning at $15,975.

Fans hoping to secure tickets in any phase must first register their interest on FIFA’s official website. This presale marks the first step toward what promises to be one of the most anticipated sporting events in Canadian history, as Toronto, along with host cities across the United States and Mexico, prepares to welcome the world in 2026.
