Final Call for Local Writers to Join Brampton Library’s Authors Showcase

BRAMPTON — Local writers across Peel Region have just days left to be part of a growing literary platform as Brampton Library prepares to close submissions for its annual Local Authors Showcase.

The initiative, running since 2017, highlights both published and self-published authors by featuring their books in the library’s catalogue, online platforms, and eBook collections. This year’s showcase already includes nearly 80 books from over 60 authors, with more entries expected before the deadline.

Writers from Brampton, Caledon, and Mississauga are eligible to participate, provided they hold a valid library card. Authors can submit up to three titles published within the last five years, covering all genres and age groups.

The deadline for submissions is March 31, 2026, and any entries received afterward will be considered for next year’s showcase.

Selected works will be featured for a full 12 months, giving local authors valuable exposure through library displays and online promotion. Author profiles and book details will also be highlighted on the library’s website throughout the showcase period.

The program continues to serve as an important platform for community storytelling, encouraging diverse voices and promoting literacy across the region.

For aspiring and established writers alike, this marks a final opportunity to gain visibility and connect with readers through one of the city’s most accessible cultural platforms.
