Fatal Collision in Brampton Claims Life of Motorcyclist

A tragic incident occurred on Sunday afternoon in Brampton, resulting in the death of a motorcyclist following a collision with a vehicle. The accident took place near the intersection of Hurontario Street and Wanless Drive, just north of Sandalwood Parkway.

Peel Regional Police were summoned to the scene shortly before 3 p.m. According to Constable Tyler Bell-Morena, the motorcyclist was heading southbound on Hurontario Street when they collided with a silver Honda. The driver of the Honda was making a left turn into a plaza from the northbound lane at the time of the accident.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 50s, was initially rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries but was later pronounced dead. The driver of the Honda remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

Constable Bell-Morena stated that the investigation into the crash is ongoing, with factors like speed being considered. There is currently no information regarding potential charges.

The area around Hurontario and Wanless was closed for several hours as the major collision bureau of Peel Regional Police processed the scene. Motorists were advised to seek alternate routes during the investigation.
