Early Voting Opens Soon as Canada Counts Down to Election Day

With just over two weeks until Canadians head to the polls, those eager to vote ahead of time will soon have the chance. Advance voting for the federal election begins next week, giving voters several options to cast their ballots early.

Advance polls will be open from Friday, April 18 to Monday, April 21, operating daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Voters are reminded that they must go to their assigned advance polling station, which can be found on their voter information card or through the Elections Canada website using the voter information service tool.

In addition to advance polls, Canadians can vote early at any Elections Canada office by 6 p.m. on April 22. This option uses the special ballot process, offering flexibility for those who may be out of town or unable to vote on their designated polling day.

Voting by mail is also available and can be arranged through Elections Canada, providing even more convenience for those who prefer or require remote voting.

For those waiting until the official date, Election Day is Monday, April 28, with polls open for 12 hours, depending on your time zone.

Full details on where and how to vote can be found on the Elections Canada website.
