Derek Jeter Says Blue Jays ‘In a Good Spot’ After World Series Game 4 Win

Los Angeles / Toronto — The Toronto Blue Jays evened the World Series at two games apiece Tuesday night with a 6-2 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers, and even U.S. baseball greats are taking notice.

Hall of Famer Derek Jeter praised Toronto’s resilience on MLB on Fox, noting the club’s depth despite playing without George Springer.

“You can’t replace Springer…but Bo Bichette is a good replacement,” Jeter said. “Toronto, they’re in a good spot, man. They’re confident—they know they can bounce back.”

Bichette, returning from a knee sprain, drove in a key run with an RBI single to extend Toronto’s lead to 5-1.

Skip Bayless called the Jays “mentally tough,” while L.A. Times columnist Bill Plaschke wrote the Dodgers suffered a “hangover” after Monday’s 18-inning marathon.

On MLB Network, analysts Yonder Alonso and Jake Peavy credited the Jays’ urgency and composure, saying the team “answered the bell in a big way.”
