Costco to Open New Business Centre in Mississauga on Oct. 28

Shoppers in southern Ontario will soon have a new Costco to explore, as the retailer confirmed its newest warehouse in Mississauga will officially open on Tuesday, October 28.

Located at 3115 Argentia Road at Winston Churchill Boulevard in the SmartCentres Meadowvale Shopping Centre, the new site sits near Highway 401 and will be easily accessible to customers in Brampton, Milton, and Halton Hills. The plaza also houses Walmart, Winners, HomeSense, and Staples.

Unlike traditional Costco warehouses, this location will operate as a Costco Business Centre, specializing in larger bulk goods tailored to businesses. While designed with commercial customers in mind, all Costco members will be able to shop there. It will be only the seventh such location in Canada, with the nearest one currently in Scarborough.

The new store will move into a long-vacant building that originally housed a Rona hardware warehouse. The 810,247-square-foot facility comes with extensive parking to accommodate heavy traffic.

Mississauga is already home to three Costco locations — on Rodeo Drive, Dundas Street East, and Laird Drive — but the addition of a business centre marks a unique expansion of the wholesale chain’s footprint in the city.
