Coca-Cola is tapping into nostalgia with its latest addition: Coca-Cola Orange Cream, set to hit shelves on February 10 in the U.S. and Canada. The new flavor combines classic cola with orange and vanilla notes, offering a modern take on the beloved Creamsicle, first introduced in 1937.
The flavor will be available in both regular and zero-sugar varieties, but it won’t be a permanent addition to Coca-Cola’s lineup. The company has announced that the new flavor will remain on sale until at least the first quarter of 2026.
Coca-Cola’s move comes as orange cream flavors experience a resurgence. The flavor has gained popularity with brands like Olipop, which launched its probiotic orange cream soda in 2021, and Carvel, which brought back its Orange Dreamy Creamy ice cream last year for the first time since 1972. Wendy’s also joined the trend with its Orange Dreamsicle Frosty in 2024.
Coke says it developed the flavor to meet growing consumer demand for comforting, nostalgic tastes.
Coca-Cola has been pushing boundaries with new flavors to keep its audience engaged. Its Coca-Cola Creations series, launched in 2022, featured experimental flavors such as coconut, strawberry, and even Oreo-inspired blends.
Last year, Coca-Cola introduced Coca-Cola Spiced, a raspberry-flavored cola that was initially intended to be a permanent offering. However, the company pulled it from the market in September, promising a new flavor in 2025—and Orange Cream is its answer.
Coca-Cola’s North American marketing chief, Shakir Moin, said the company has been accelerating its product development process to meet changing consumer preferences.
“Consumers are moving faster. The market is moving forward faster. We’ve got to be faster than the speed of the market,” Moin said in an interview last year.
As Coca-Cola Orange Cream rolls out in February, it aims to delight consumers with a burst of nostalgia while keeping the brand’s innovative spirit alive. Whether it can win over fans like its predecessors or face a fate similar to Coca-Cola Spiced remains to be seen.
For now, soda lovers can look forward to sipping a refreshing blend of cola, orange, and vanilla—and reliving the sweet memories of their favorite Creamsicle treats.
